Benjamintz | The Chocolate-Mint Drop
The iconic Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies meets our in-house Urban Kush (GG4 x OG #18). A true Urban-Seedlabs drop that simply delivers.
Water Mint and the Chocolate-Mint Profile
If you're looking for real menthol here, you're looking in vain – because cannabis naturally produces no real menthol at all. Botanically speaking, this is exclusively reserved for true mint species.
We like to use water mint (Mentha aquatica) as a point of comparison: It is the best plant-based equivalent in terms of flavor, even though it naturally tastes a bit more pronounced and sharper of mint than any cannabis profile due to its natural menthol content.
This is exactly the bridge that the Benjamintz aroma builds: Through the interplay of the iconic Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies with our Urban Kush and extremely dark plants, a precise terpene architecture is created. The result immediately brings to mind the famous, paper-thin chocolate-mint wafers – fine cocoa notes meet ice-cold freshness, completely without artificial additives.
Terpenes
The profile is based on real science rather than marketing promises:
- Eucalyptol (1,8-cineole): The main culprit for the freshness kick. It delivers this sharp, clarifying impression like ice-cold mountain air. In research, it is directly linked to mental clarity & focus.
- Beta-caryophyllene, myrcene & linalool: The heavy, gassy, earthy, and peppery foundation terpenes from the GG4 and OG #18 genetics. They create the dark, warm base that, in combination with the dark buds, builds the exact chocolate-mint illusion.
Effect
Thanks to the eucalyptol content, the high starts surprisingly clear, focused and euphoric, without weighing down the head. Shortly after, the massive knockout power of the Urban Kush (GG4 x OG #18) kicks in and catches you with deep, physical relaxation.
Born in the Community
This release is a true passion project from our scene: The inspiration for this terpene mix came during the legendary terpene talk with @thc_stella_blue, and the distinctive name was bestowed by @markus_meteor. A true community strain!
Grow Info
- Defoliation: Regular thinning of the inner foliage is advisable to maximize light penetration for the dark, resinous buds.
- Temperature: Lowering the nighttime temperatures during the last two weeks of flowering brings out the deep, purple anthocyanin coloring of the Thin Mint genetics.
- Smell: Massive terpene emission in the room – an activated carbon filter is an absolute must due to the intense Kush & gas impact!
